Good News for Electricity Consumers: Federal Government Announces Further Price Reduction

Electricity consumers have received good news, as the federal government has decided to reduce electricity prices further, offering more relief to the public.
According to sources, the price of electricity will be reduced by an additional **7 to 8 rupees per unit**. This follows the previous decision on **April 11**, when the Power Division had already announced a reduction of **1 rupee 71 paisas per unit** for consumers across the country, including Karachi.
The notification issued by the Power Division stated that the price reduction would be effective from **April to June 2025**. The reduction applies to all consumers, including **K-Electric** users across the country. However, **lifeline consumers** will not benefit from this reduction.
With this new decision, once again, the government is providing much-needed relief to electricity consumers, helping ease the burden of rising energy costs.
