Fawad Chaudhry Accuses PTI’s New Leadership of Plotting Against Imran Khan, Calls for Change in Party

Former federal minister and senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has accused the party’s newly formed leadership of being involved in a conspiracy to keep Imran Khan imprisoned and pursuing a “minus-Imran” formula. He stated that a change in the party leadership is now inevitable.

In a post on the social media platform *X*, Fawad Chaudhry expressed that there is no issue with Imran Khan’s social media accounts or with criticizing the political role of the establishment. He emphasized that the real issue lies with mocking martyrs and running campaigns that impose sanctions on Pakistan.

Fawad further claimed that these individuals are part of a specific lobby within PTI that is playing politics and financial games while keeping Imran Khan in jail. He stressed that PTI must break free from their influence for the release of Imran Khan.

He also pointed out that accounts operated by separatists and Pakistan’s enemies—both abroad and within Pakistan—must be severed. “This struggle has now entered the next phase, and in my next meeting with Imran Khan, I will demand a change in the compromised leadership,” he added.

**PTI Announces Disassociation from Fawad Chaudhry on Imran Khan’s Instructions**

It is noteworthy that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar announced yesterday that Imran Khan had instructed him to publicly disassociate from Fawad Chaudhry during a meeting in Adiala Jail. Gohar clarified that Fawad Chaudhry is not authorized to present his personal views as those of PTI. The party formally declared its disassociation from Fawad, stating that he no longer has any connection with PTI and cannot represent the party on media, social media, or television.

Fawad Chaudhry had distanced himself from PTI following the events of May 9 but had made attempts to return to the party later. Recently, he had been reestablishing his ties with PTI through media appearances and social media posts.
