Petrol Price to See Modest Increase, Diesel to Become Cheaper from December 16

Islamabad:Starting from **December 16, 2024**, the price of **petrol** is expected to increase slightly, while the price of **diesel** is likely to decrease.

According to reports, **petrol** prices could rise by **0.81 rupees per liter**, while **diesel** prices are anticipated to drop by **3.94 rupees per liter** for the next 15 days.

During the current 15-day period, authorities have estimated the slight increase in petrol prices due to **global market uncertainties**, particularly in light of the recent changes in the government in **Syria**. The **High-Speed Diesel (HSD)** price reduction is also attributed to fluctuating international oil prices.

If the situation in Syria stabilizes soon, there is a possibility that petroleum product prices could be revised downward further.
