Sindh Interior Minister **Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar** reviewed the procession route and security arrangements in Karachi and directed authorities to ensure extraordinary security measures.
Speaking to the media, he said an inquiry into the **February 28 Karachi U.S. Consulate Shooting** is underway and it is too early to assign responsibility. He added that the transfer of certain police officers was purely an administrative matter.
It is worth noting that 11 people were killed in the February 28 firing incident near the **U.S. Consulate Karachi**, which is currently under investigation.
