Islamabad Police Arrest Notorious Robbery Gang, Recover Stolen Cash and Weapons
ISLAMABAD:Islamabad Police has successfully apprehended a notorious four-member gang involved in multiple robbery incidents across the city. The gang, with a criminal history, was captured in a major operation led by the Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
According to a spokesperson for Islamabad Police, the operation resulted in the arrest of the gang members who had been wanted for several highway robbery cases. The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Usman, Adnan Khan, Raouf, and Atif Mehmood. The police also recovered a significant amount of stolen property, including cash worth 1.43 million rupees, a motorcycle used in the robberies, and firearms along with ammunition.
The police have registered cases against the accused at Sabzi Mandi Police Station, where they are facing charges related to robbery, illegal possession of weapons, and other criminal activities.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, commended the Sabzi Mandi Police team for their successful operation and assured that all legal procedures would be followed to ensure the criminals receive due punishment. He further stated that large-scale operations against organized and active gangs would continue to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
This arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of Islamabad Police to tackle organized crime and bring criminals to justice. The police remain committed to taking decisive action against criminal gangs operating in the city.
