Zartaj Gul Files Motion in National Assembly Demanding Debate on Islamabad Shooting Incident
ISLAMABADضPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul has submitted a motion in the National Assembly calling for a debate on the tragic events that occurred on November 26, where unarmed protesters were shot and killed in Islamabad.
In her motion, Zartaj Gul demanded an immediate discussion in the National Assembly on the incident, emphasizing that the use of force against peaceful citizens and journalists is a violation of Pakistan’s Constitution and basic human rights. She further stated that such actions must not be tolerated, as they infringe on the fundamental rights guaranteed to the citizens of Pakistan.
The motion also highlighted the importance of addressing the erosion of public trust in state institutions, calling for urgent steps to restore confidence in the country’s institutions. Zartaj Gul’s demand for a discussion on this issue reflects growing concerns over the use of force against protesters and citizens, as well as the need for stronger protections for human rights in the country.
