Nation Proud of Armed Forces’ Success, Says Shafi Jan

Islamabad (Khabar Desk) — Political leader Shafi Jan has said that the nation feels proud of the recent success of Pakistan’s armed forces and remains fully committed to defending every inch of the country’s borders.
Speaking during a discussion on ABN News program “Tajzia,” Shafi Jan said that protecting Pakistan’s geographical boundaries is the foremost national duty of every citizen and that no compromise can be made on national security.
He stated that the recent developments involving tensions with India had raised national morale, adding that people across different regions are celebrating the success of the armed forces.
During the discussion, Shafi Jan also expressed concerns regarding judicial and political matters, saying questions remain over the handling of certain political cases and delays in hearing petitions. He claimed that despite court orders, restrictions on meetings with some political figures continue.
He further alleged that double standards are being applied within the state system against certain political parties. According to him, key decisions within his party are made by the central leadership, including organizational matters and protest strategies.
Discussing future political planning, he said that decisions regarding protests and organizational activities are taken after consultation with the party’s political committee and allied groups. He added that the party is fully prepared for its upcoming political strategy and activities.
Meanwhile, Rana Shehryar Ahmed said Pakistan’s courageous decisions have enhanced the country’s international standing. He described Pakistan’s mediating role among major global powers as an important foreign policy achievement.
Rana Shehryar Ahmed emphasized that both the government and opposition should unite in the national interest, stating that the people have complete trust in the armed forces and that patriotic citizens remain united for the country’s progress despite political differences.
He also urged political parties to pursue legal avenues instead of reacting against judicial decisions and said dragging the judiciary into political matters is not in the national interest.
During the program, another political leader also criticized what he described as double standards in the state system and raised concerns over judicial procedures and political cases, while emphasizing the importance of party leadership in organizational and protest-related decisions.
