Balochistan National Party Slams Government for Deteriorating Conditions in Balochistan
Quetta:The Balochistan National Party (BNP) has strongly criticized the current government for exacerbating the already dire conditions of the people in Balochistan. According to a central statement issued by the party, the economic situation in the province has worsened under the current leadership, with widespread poverty, halted trade activities, and the collapse of key sectors such as agriculture and livestock.
The BNP statement claims that the government’s flawed policies have pushed the youth, particularly in Balochistan, further into deprivation and poverty. It also emphasized that the 8th February selection of the current rulers has led to an increase in social issues, with the people of Balochistan caught in a web of underdevelopment, destitution, and neglect.
The party’s statement further highlighted that the rulers are indifferent to the problems of the Baloch people and are focused solely on corruption and plundering resources. Border residents, especially in the Iranian and Afghan border areas, have been left without basic means of sustenance, while the youth of Balochistan continue to suffer from a lack of social services and opportunities.
The statement also pointed to the federal commerce minister’s policies, which the BNP argues have exacerbated the challenges faced by the people of Balochistan. The imposition of “unjust” regulations has made the people more vulnerable to exploitation.
The BNP, led by Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, has vowed to continue advocating for the rights and welfare of Baloch people. The party has called on the government to reconsider its exploitative policies, grant the border residents the right to conduct business, lift restrictions on trade activities, and provide relief to the people of Balochistan for a better future.
