Ali Amin Gandapur Challenges PTI Leaders Shehbaz Gill and Imran Riaz to Return to Pakistan

Ali Amin Gandapur, former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has sharply criticized fellow party leaders Shehbaz Gill and YouTuber-journalist Imran Riaz, urging them to return to Pakistan and lead from the ground.
Speaking on a private TV program, Gandapur said that sitting abroad and calling for a “revolution” is meaningless. Addressing Shehbaz Gill, he said, “Come to Pakistan, lead, and I will support you.” He added that some leaders prefer to stay away, claiming they will guide others’ children instead of leading themselves.
Targeting Imran Riaz, Gandapur stated, “You went to Afghanistan while sitting comfortably on a couch, and we accepted it. But if I go from Islamabad to Peshawar, you start making stories.”
He warned followers of Gill and Riaz to critically assess the content they watch and urged them to research before forming opinions, citing Islamic teachings about verifying information before judgment.
Gandapur further challenged the leaders by saying, “If your life is dear, come to Pakistan and lead. I am willing to resign from my constituency and let you contest in my place. Lead from here instead of earning money abroad while sending people’s children into harm’s way.”
His remarks highlight growing tensions within PTI over leadership and activism from abroad.
