Stray Dogs Cause Growing Concern in Quetta; Increased Incidents of Dog Bites

Quetta:The increasing number of stray dogs in various areas of Quetta has made it difficult for children to go to school in the mornings and for residents to venture out at night. The city is witnessing a rise in dog bite incidents, leaving citizens fearful and anxious.

Areas such as **Saryab**, **Nawakali**, **Sibzal Road**, **Briway**, **Arbab Karam Khan Road**, **Jinnah Town**, and **Bank Colony** have become hotspots for stray dogs, posing a serious risk to public safety. During the day, these stray dogs often create problems for children heading to school, while at night, they form packs and attack pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

The increasing number of dog bite victims has overwhelmed local hospitals in Quetta, with healthcare facilities reporting a surge in cases of individuals seeking treatment for dog bites. Residents are urging the authorities to take immediate action to address the issue and ensure the safety of the public.
