FIA Karachi Arrests Man Involved in Illegal Currency Exchange, Seizes 35,000 UAE Dirhams

Islamabad:The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) State Bank Circle Karachi has successfully arrested a man involved in illegal currency exchange operations. The suspect, identified as Shah Nawaz, was apprehended from Chandrigar Road in Karachi during a covert operation.

According to FIA spokesperson, the arrest was made while the suspect was engaged in illegal foreign currency exchange. During the raid, authorities seized 35,000 UAE Dirhams from his possession.

The spokesperson further revealed that the accused was operating without a valid license for currency exchange and failed to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the seized foreign currency. The action was taken based on a tip-off, and the suspect has been booked under relevant sections of the law.

An investigation has been launched into the case, and further actions are expected as authorities continue to crackdown on illegal currency trading.
