“Saad Rafique Criticizes National Approach of Not Learning from Mistakes”
Islamabad: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Khawaja Saad Rafique, has criticized the current political situation in the country, stating that the national tendency to not learn from past mistakes is prevailing. He also expressed concern over the actions of state institutions, claiming that those involved in toppling elected governments with the help of state institutions have no genuine interest in freedom, democracy, or human rights.
In a statement, Saad Rafique remarked, “Our national mindset is such that we fail to learn from hardships, challenges, mistakes, and struggles. Both parties are operating exactly in line with this mindset.” He emphasized that those who use slogans of change, freedom, and democracy are merely deceiving the public for the sake of gaining power, and their real goal is not to promote freedom or democracy.
He further criticized the ongoing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially the rising terrorism in areas like Parachinar, and pointed out that the provincial government’s attacks on the federal government, rather than focusing on security challenges, are highly concerning.
Saad Rafique also warned that if the protests in Islamabad escalate into violent confrontations instead of remaining peaceful, the situation could spiral out of control. He called for calm and urged all parties to work towards resolving their differences without resorting to further chaos.
