Trump Impeachment Would Require 67 Senate Votes, Even if Democrats Secure Majority

TEXAS: A total of 67 votes in the US Senate would be required to convict and remove President Donald Trump from office following an impeachment trial.
Even if Democrats secure 54 seats in the Senate and all their members vote in favour of impeachment, they would still need the support of at least 13 additional senators.
A simple majority in the 100-member Senate would not be sufficient to remove the president from office. Impeachment also requires a separate constitutional and legal process.
According to political analysts, a Democratic victory could increase political pressure on President Trump, particularly if the Democratic Party also gains control of the House of Representatives.
