Pakistan Rejects Afghan Taliban’s Account of Angoor Adda Incident, Claims Seven Posts Destroyed

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected the Afghan Taliban regime’s statement regarding the Angoor Adda incident as false and fabricated, accusing the Taliban of spreading misleading information.

In a statement, the ministry said the Afghan Taliban’s narrative reflected what it described as a deceptive pattern of behaviour.

The ministry alleged that Afghan Taliban forces opened unprovoked fire and launched mortar attacks on civilians inside Pakistani territory.

It further claimed that the Taliban regime’s firing was part of a pattern allegedly directed by India and coordinated with proxy elements.

According to the ministry, Pakistan’s security forces responded immediately and forcefully to the alleged aggression, destroying seven Afghan Taliban posts and inflicting significant casualties and material losses on the opposing side.

The ministry also accused the Taliban regime, which it described as unrepresentative, of misleading its own population through false claims.

The allegations and claims regarding the incident were made by Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
