Father-Son Burglary Duo Arrested in Lahore, Stolen Valuables Worth Over Rs100 Million Recovered

Lahore:The Operations Wing of Lahore’s Defence Police has arrested a father-son burglary duo and recovered stolen valuables worth more than Rs100 million.

According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, the arrested suspects, identified as Joseph alias Sagar and Jamshed Sagar, are father and son. They were apprehended by Defence-C Police from the Tibba Gohawa and Bhatta Chowk areas.

The spokesperson said the suspects used bicycles to survey residential neighborhoods while posing as people seeking sacrificial meat during Eid-ul-Adha. They would ring doorbells to determine whether residents were at home and targeted houses that appeared unoccupied.

Police traced the suspects with the help of CCTV footage and subsequently arrested them.

Authorities recovered gold jewelry, watches, foreign currency, and other valuables worth more than Rs100 million from the suspects. The accused have been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further inquiry and legal proceedings.

Police officials said further investigations are underway to determine whether the suspects were involved in additional burglary cases across the city.
