Lahore High Court Suspends Rs200 Fine Imposed on Kot Lakhpat SHO

LAHORE:The Lahore High Court has suspended a Rs200 fine imposed on Kot Lakhpat Station House Officer (SHO) Afzal Rauf for failing to produce the required case record before a trial court.

The Anti-Narcotics Court in Lahore had fined SHO Afzal Rauf for not presenting the record. However, the Lahore High Court suspended the penalty against surety bonds worth Rs50,000.

The high court also issued a notice on the SHO’s appeal and summoned the trial court’s record for examination.

Further proceedings will be conducted after the court reviews the relevant case documents. The suspension will remain in effect until the next hearing, pending further proceedings.
