Punjab police introduces easier way to check e-challans through mobile app

LAHORE: Punjab Police has advised citizens to check their traffic e-challans online through the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Public Safety App, allowing vehicle owners to access violation details from their mobile phones.
In a statement posted on X on Tuesday, the police said users could check their e-challan records by opening the app and selecting the “Search Challan” option.
The facility is aimed at making it easier for citizens to access traffic violation information from home without having to visit an office.
The police officials encourage citizens to use their mobile phones to check their vehicle’s e-challan, saying, “Checking your vehicle’s e-challan is now easier.”
This initiative has been developed by the PSCA. The Public Safety App offers various public safety services, including e-challan information and other citizen assistance facilities.
Moreover, in a separate incident earlier this month, Lahore Traffic Police apprehended a motorcyclist on Walton Road who had accumulated 113 outstanding e-challans.
Police said the violations included 89 cases of riding without a helmet and 24 traffic signal violations. The motorcyclist was fined Rs 190,000, and the motorcycle was impounded.
