Matters Regarding Aleema Khan Case Are Still Not Good: Muneeb Farooq

ISLAMABAD (Daily Qudrat): According to journalist Muneeb Farooq, matters regarding the Aleema Khan case are still not good; if the negotiation process is restored, well and good, otherwise matters could deteriorate.

Speaking in his vlog, he said that Barrister Gohar Khan is working on the Aleema Khan case, but the fundamentals have not changed.

The news is that matters regarding Aleema Khan are not good, but due to Barrister Gohar’s efforts, a adverse verdict against Aleema Khan is being delayed; the decision has now been pushed to 26 November.

Barrister Gohar is trying to get Aleema Khan acquitted, but if that does not happen, then efforts are being made to delay the verdict as much as possible so that it does not come now.

Even now, the verdict has been delayed due to Barrister Gohar’s efforts.

Many friends get angry about how I came to know this — well, news is news. The news is that the situation is not good; if the negotiation process is restored this month, well and good, otherwise matters could deteriorate.

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court dismissed a petition filed for the recovery of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi. Justice Abhar Gul Khan heard the petition for the recovery of the former Prime Minister’s sisters, in connection with which the Secretary Interior Punjab and the Superintendent of Kot Lakhpat Jail appeared in court, while Uzma Khan’s husband and Aleema Khan’s son also appeared.

The government lawyer told the court that the detention of all three sisters had been extended by 30 days, and that detention had also been extended on 7 October. The petitioners’ counsel requested that the three sisters be recovered and produced in court. The court remarked that the detention notification had been issued by the Deputy Commissioner, but the Deputy Commissioner had not been made a party in the petition. The court said the petitioners should know that the court cannot issue any order going beyond the petition. The Lahore High Court dismissed the petition in light of the Secretary Interior’s report.
