Supreme Court Justice Salahuddin Panhwar Writes to Chief Justice Over 27th Constitutional Amendment

**ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily):** Supreme Court Judge **Justice Salahuddin Panhwar** has written a letter to **Chief Justice Yahya Afridi** regarding the **27th Constitutional Amendment**, urging a clause-by-clause review and calling for a **full court session**.

According to sources, Justice Panhwar stated that he was writing the letter not as a protest but as a matter of duty. He emphasized that a full court meeting should be convened to carefully examine the amendment to ensure it does not affect the **fundamental structure of the Constitution** or disturb institutional balance.

In the letter, he suggested consulting the **Law and Justice Commission** and other policy-making committees on this critical constitutional matter. Justice Panhwar warned that the 27th Amendment could disrupt the **balance of powers**.

He added that the Constitution requires the Supreme Court to **safeguard it**, and history will remember their courage in decision-making rather than take the easy path. Justice Panhwar called for the **immediate convening of a full court session** to maintain public confidence.
