LAHORE (Qudrat Daily) — Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that when she travels by car, it makes her happy to see women driving scooties and rickshaws. One student goes to university in the morning and drives a cab in the evening; she says she drives a cab because the law and order situation has improved. Crimes against women and children are my red line.

Addressing an event, she said congratulations to all the champions; it is a matter of immense joy to see talented young women with a bright future. Congratulations also to the parents who believed in their daughters and supported them in fulfilling their dreams. Especially seeing mothers clapping for their daughters brought tears to my eyes and filled my heart with pride.

Every girl has her own story, and there is a lot of hard work behind reaching this position.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that big dreams of boys are called ambition, but when girls resolve to move forward, they are told that she does not care about others. I want you to believe in yourself and not let anyone say that this work is not for you.

Success is not related to gender but to hard work and capability. Balancing household responsibilities along with professional life is certainly difficult, but consistent hard work definitely pays off. Never be discouraged; you can do everything. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that it is my responsibility to provide women with such a safe environment where they can move forward fearlessly for their education, professional development, and personal life.

Crimes against women and children are my red line. It makes me happy when women in Punjab are seen driving scooties, driving rickshaws, and working in various fields. A student driving a cab after university is an example of the confidence that arises from a safe environment. She said that my parents’ financial conditions do not allow me to pursue an education; I go to university in the morning and drive a cab in the evening. I drive a cab because the law and order situation has improved.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that I was very happy to see that you appreciated your friends’, fellow students’, and each other’s successes more than your own. This is the attitude that leads you on the right path. The most beautiful thing about being the first woman Chief Minister is that every day I get the opportunity to empower many women, create opportunities for them to move forward, and help them stand on their own feet.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that education is the greatest force for creating equality. It not only reduces the divide of financial background but also gives you the confidence that you are not less than anyone. Challenges will certainly come in life, but by solving one problem at a time and moving forward step by step, you will reach your destination, God willing. Do not limit your education to your own success only, but also make it a means of empowering other women.
