Sindh Minister orders action against absent, late employees during surprise SITE visit

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has ordered immediate departmental action against employees found absent or arriving late during a surprise visit to the Sindh Industrial and Trading Estate (SITE) in Karachi.

As per a report, the provincial minister made a surprise visit and reviewed administrative matters and the performance of various departments. Managing Director SITE Ahmed Fawad Shah accompanied him.

Dharejo personally checked the employees’ attendance registers and directed the relevant authorities to initiate departmental proceedings against those found absent or late.

Moreover, he also instructed all employees to ensure punctuality and warned that strict legal and administrative action would be taken against those who failed to comply with official timings.

However, the minister visited different sections of SITE and directed officials to improve cleanliness, strengthen security arrangements and take effective measures to maintain discipline within the organisation.

He also emphasised the needs of the business community, and Dharejo called for providing traders and industrialists with all possible facilities. He also stressed the importance of transparency in administrative affairs and directed officials to improve overall departmental performance.

Therefore, the visit’s foremost objective was to review institutional efficiency and ensure better service delivery to the business community.
