Federal Government Appoints Dr Fakhr Alam Irfan as KP Chief Secretary

ISLAMABAD:The federal government has issued a notification appointing Dr Muhammad Fakhr Alam Irfan as the new chief secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the notification issued on October 11, Dr Irfan, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), will assume the position with immediate effect. His appointment will remain in force until further orders.

Before his new assignment, Dr Irfan was serving as secretary of the Power Division at the federal Ministry of Energy.

Dr Irfan belongs to Mardan district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The appointment comes amid significant political and administrative developments concerning the provincial government.
