Pakistan Airports Authority Denies Rumors of International Passengers Stranded for 72 Hours

Islamabad:Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has refuted rumors circulating on social media about international passengers being stranded for 72 hours at airports across the country, including Islamabad. A spokesperson for PAA clarified that flight operations at all airports, including Islamabad International Airport, are running as usual, and there is no truth to the reports regarding the extended stay of passengers at the airports.

The PAA spokesperson emphasized that the news about international passengers being stuck for three days at airports is entirely false. The public has been urged to rely only on credible sources for news, dismissing the baseless claims circulating on social media.

This clarification comes amid reports on social media suggesting that flight operations had been suspended at various airports, causing passengers to remain at the airports for prolonged periods. However, PAA assured that all flight operations across the country remain unaffected and are continuing according to the normal schedule.

It is worth noting that while Pakistan’s airports are functioning as usual, other transportation services, such as motorways and key highways, have been disrupted due to PTI protests, leading to road blockages. Additionally, mobile and internet services have been experiencing interruptions in various parts of the country.
