18 Militants Killed in Security Operations in KP and Balochistan

PESHAWAR/QUETTA:Security forces have killed 18 militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources.

The sources said that, under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, security forces successfully targeted militant hideouts in North Waziristan and surrounding areas during operations against Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to the sources, 13 militants were killed during the operation in North Waziristan.

Security forces also conducted an operation against Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan. Five militants were reportedly killed in Mastung during the operation.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the militants, the sources said.

A clearance operation is continuing in the affected areas to eliminate remaining militant elements and ensure that the areas are fully secured.
