DIG Police Takes Strict Notice of Rising Car Theft in Quetta, Orders Crackdown

QUETTA – Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Quetta, Imran Shaukat, has taken strict notice of the rising incidents of car theft in the city and summoned an important meeting to address the growing concern.
The meeting was attended by SSP Special Crime Investigation Wing, SSPs, and SPs from all four divisions of Quetta. During the session, officials reviewed car theft incidents across the city, measures for prevention, recovery of stolen vehicles, and ongoing operations against those involved in such crimes.
DIG Imran Shaukat directed the concerned officers to further intensify effective actions against elements involved in car theft, ensure swift recovery of stolen vehicles, and secure the arrest of suspects.
He emphasized that modern technical and investigative tools should be fully utilized in the investigation of car theft cases. Coordinated and effective operations should be launched against organized car theft rings.
The DIG Quetta made it clear that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the police’s top priority, and all available resources will be used to eliminate crimes, including car theft.
