Quetta Is the Face of the Province, Its Development Linked to Balochistan’s Identity: CM Bugti

QUETTA – Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has stated that Quetta is the face of the province, and the city’s development and beauty are intrinsically linked to the identity of Balochistan. He affirmed that the government would utilize all available resources to transform Quetta into a better, beautiful, and modern provincial capital.

The statement came during an important meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at the Chief Minister Secretariat to review the Quetta Development Package. The session was convened to assess progress on ongoing projects aimed at the development, beautification, and improvement of civic amenities in the provincial capital.

Officials briefed the meeting that under the Quetta Development Package, 12 projects have already been completed, 7 projects are currently underway, and 5 new projects have been proposed for approval.

CM Bugti directed authorities to further accelerate the pace of work on ongoing projects and ensure their timely completion. He also instructed that work on the newly proposed projects should commence without any delay.

“Quetta is the face of the province. The city’s development and beauty are tied to the identity of the entire Balochistan,” the Chief Minister remarked. He emphasized that the government would spare no effort to restore the city’s past glory and historical identity through a comprehensive strategy.

The Chief Minister highlighted that projects focused on improving basic civic facilities, infrastructure development, and urban beautification should be completed on a priority basis. He further directed that quality, speed, and transparency be ensured in all development work under the Quetta Development Package, while unnecessary delays must be avoided.

“Quetta is the face of Balochistan, and its development reflects the future of the province. A modern, organized, and beautiful capital will be the hallmark of our vision,” CM Bugti said.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti reiterated the government’s commitment to making Quetta a well-organized and beautiful city where citizens have access to better basic facilities. He stressed that the provincial capital should stand out both as a modern city and as a custodian of its historical and cultural identity.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, SMBR Kambar Khan Dashti, Finance Secretary Jahangir Khan, Project Director Rafiq Baloch, and other relevant officials.
