Two Families Have Been Imposed on Pakistan, Says KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi
HYDERABAD:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has alleged that governments in Punjab and Sindh have continued to be formed by specific families, claiming that two families have been imposed on the entire country.
Addressing a gathering at Haider Chowk in Hyderabad, Afridi said these families had neither been sincere with Pakistan in the past nor would they be in the future. He alleged that they had always placed their personal interests above the national interest.
Earlier, while addressing supporters at the Tando Jam Toll Plaza, the KP chief minister said Sindh had a tradition of welcoming guests. He added that despite all the obstacles placed in his way, he would reach Karachi.
Afridi also addressed a message to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, saying, “You should acknowledge that what is happening is being done by your government. If not, then name who is responsible.” He added that such actions were not part of Sindh’s traditions.
Later, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reached Karachi along with PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh.
Speaking to party workers at the toll plaza, Afridi said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had tweeted a welcome message the previous day, but roads had been blocked on the day of his arrival, forcing them to take an alternative route through the riverine area.
He questioned whether the Sindh chief minister had authority over his own government or whether someone else was running it.
“Karachi has always remained oppressed. Everyone exploits Karachi,” Afridi said, alleging that the government was disregarding court orders.
He reiterated his claim that two families had been imposed on the entire country.
