New Turn in Harassment Case as Momina Iqbal, Saqib Chadhar Reissued Notices Over New Digital Evidence

LAHORE: A new development has emerged in the case involving allegations of harassment and threats against renowned actress Momina Iqbal, with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) reissuing notices to both Momina Iqbal and PML-N Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar following the emergence of new digital evidence.
According to reports, the NCCIA has formally launched a fresh investigation into the case after the actress and her lawyers raised concerns over the previous investigation report and new material came to light.
An investigation team has been constituted to conduct the fresh inquiry. The high-level special team will be headed by a senior officer of the rank of Deputy Director.

The team has been directed to investigate all parties in light of the newly received digital evidence and complete the inquiry within one month before submitting its final report to the Director General of the NCCIA.
Earlier, in a report submitted before the sessions court, the investigating officer had declared MPA Saqib Chadhar not responsible for the allegations at this stage and stated that his arrest was not required.
Momina Iqbal had strongly reacted to the report, alleging collusion in the investigation and announcing that she would make all the evidence public on social media.
