Elimination of 21 Terrorists in Balochistan Shows State’s Strong Resolve Against Militancy: Shahid Rind
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser on Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind has praised the effective operations conducted by security forces in Nokchah, Chagai, and Ziarat Cross, Pishin, saying the elimination of 21 terrorists demonstrates the state’s strong resolve against elements hostile to peace.
In a statement, Rind said the militants had attempted to disrupt the movement of passengers on national highways and prevent Customs officials from performing their duties. However, security forces foiled their plans through timely and effective action.
He said the martyrs were a valuable national asset, adding that the sacrifices of security personnel and Customs officials who lost their lives while performing their duties would always be remembered.
Rind said the nexus between terrorism and criminal activities would not be tolerated under any circumstances. Law-enforcement agencies remain fully mobilized to establish peace in Balochistan and protect the lives and property of the people.
He added that the people of Balochistan stand with the state and security forces in the fight against terrorism. Operations against foreign-backed terrorist elements would continue without discrimination, he said.
Under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, the Balochistan government would continue to play its full role in eliminating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the province, Rind added.
