‘Retired Figure Played Key Role in Reaching Understanding with Imran Khan’: Ramesh Kumar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Member of the National Assembly Ramesh Kumar has claimed that a retired figure played an important role in reaching an understanding with former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.

Speaking in an interview with Naeem Ashraf Butt, Ramesh Kumar claimed that a key retired personality played a pivotal role in facilitating an understanding with Imran Khan. He said four to five important meetings were held with the PTI founder at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

According to Ramesh Kumar, a cake was formally cut on August 14 following the meetings, which he described as part of the process.

He further claimed that the process of providing legal and political relief to Imran Khan had already begun and that its results would become visible to everyone within the next few days.

Ramesh Kumar also claimed that a new political model was being developed under which all major political and influential stakeholders, including Imran Khan, had been taken on board.

He said the new political model was expected to be fully implemented between September 15 and November 15.

The PPP leader warned that anyone attempting to obstruct the new political model would be removed from the system. Addressing the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he said that if the party created hurdles or repeated mistakes made in the past, an entirely new political setup could be established in the country.

The claims made by Ramesh Kumar have not been independently verified.
