Raid on Sardar Ali Muhammad Qalandarani’s House Condemned as ‘Conspiracy Against JUI’: Younas Aziz Zehri

KHUZDAR: Opposition Leader in the Balochistan Assembly Mir Younas Aziz Zehri has strongly condemned a raid on the residence of senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader and tribal chief Sardar Ali Muhammad Qalandarani in Totak, describing it as unjustified and part of a conspiracy against the party.
Expressing concern over the incident, Zehri criticized the Balochistan government and police and demanded a transparent investigation into the raid.
He said JUI was a peaceful political party and strongly condemned what he described as inappropriate treatment of its senior leaders. He termed the raid on Qalandarani’s residence “extremely regrettable and condemnable.”
Zehri said raiding the home of a respectable citizen without justification was contrary to Baloch traditions, Islamic teachings and the Constitution of Pakistan.
He warned that if the government believed such actions could weaken JUI leaders and workers, it was mistaken.
The opposition leader demanded that the reasons and circumstances behind the raid be brought before the public and that action be taken against those responsible.
He warned that failure to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation immediately would leave JUI with no option but to launch strong protests against the incident.
