Time to Transform Bilateral Cooperation into a Sustainable Economic Partnership: Interior Minister
Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stated that the United Kingdom is Pakistan’s strong and best friend, and it is now time to transform their mutual cooperation into a sustainable economic partnership.
This statement came during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and British Minister of State for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Hamish Falconer. Also present at the meeting were British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, and Pakistani High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal.
The discussions focused on matters of mutual interest and the enhancement of bilateral relations. Both sides explored potential steps to further strengthen their cooperation. Minister Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with the UK and expressed his best wishes for Minister Falconer’s visit, emphasizing the need for stronger alignment on bilateral and regional issues.
Naqvi also underscored the importance of addressing misinformation and propaganda spread on social media, calling for joint efforts between the two countries to combat such challenges. He highlighted that minorities in Pakistan enjoy full rights and that the protection of minority communities remains a top priority for the government.
The meeting was seen as a step forward in strengthening the relationship between the two nations, with both sides agreeing on the need for closer cooperation in addressing a range of regional and global issues.
