Passport Services at NADRA Centres Under Consideration to Facilitate Citizens

ISLAMABAD: Authorities are considering a proposal to provide passport-related services at NADRA registration centres as part of efforts to make government documentation more convenient for citizens.

According to officials, the initiative aims to provide NADRA and Immigration and Passports-related services at a single location, potentially reducing the need for citizens to visit multiple government offices.

Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited NADRA headquarters, where he met NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and improve public access to government services. Officials also reviewed measures involving modern technology and the simplification of government procedures.

The meeting also covered the provision of services through mobile applications, improvements to digital systems and relevant policy reforms.

Officials said stronger coordination between NADRA and Immigration and Passports could make access to government services more convenient for citizens.

If implemented, the proposal to provide certain passport-related facilities at NADRA registration centres could offer significant convenience to the public and reduce the need for visits to separate government offices.
