Teaser trailer of Avatar sequel is finally here
The teaser trailer for James Cameronâs highly-anticipated film “Avatar: The Way of Water” has finally been released.
The first look was playing exclusively in theaters over the weekend ahead of Disney-Marvelâs “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. However, it has now been released on YouTube and social media.
The first of fours sequels “Avatar: The Way of Water” is scheduled for a December 16 release. It will centre on returning Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, and Naâvi Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldaña, their family and the lengths they go to keep each other safe.
The stunning teaser is set more than a decade after the events of the first film, introducing dazzling footage that includes gorgeous shots of Pandoraâs bright blue water, Toruk, the flying creatures introduced in the first film, and new whale-like creatures.

The “Way of Water” teaser trailer was previewed in 3D last week. During that presentation, producer Jon Landau additionally announced plans to re-release the original Avatar on September 23 in cinemas with restored picture and sound. âWe need to make sure [audiences] have an experience they canât get anywhere else, and that needs to be exclusively in theaters,â he said.
Sam Raimiâs Madness is the latest film in Marvelâs Phase 4, with Benedict Cumberbatch returning as the title sorcerer. The movie also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams and Xochitl Gomez.
