PML-N Responsible for Non-Implementation of Supreme Court Orders, Claims KP CM Sohail Afridi

BUNER: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership of failing to implement the Supreme Court’s orders regarding the medical treatment of PTI founder Imran Khan.

Addressing a Street Movement and public gathering in Buner, Afridi alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif did not allow Imran Khan to receive proper medical treatment despite clear directions from the Supreme Court.

The KP chief minister strongly criticised the federal and Punjab governments, alleging that they had disregarded the court’s directives concerning Imran Khan’s health.

Afridi said that if the country and its institutions were to regain their dignity and credibility, Imran Khan should be released immediately. He claimed that, in his view, no other political leader could restore the respect of Pakistan and its institutions in the same way.

Speaking about the PTI’s planned September 27 protest movement, Afridi urged supporters to prepare themselves ahead of the date.

He claimed that around four million people would take to the streets on September 27 to “fight their case” and asserted that the participants would not return empty-handed.

The KP chief minister said PTI supporters were not afraid of bullets or guns, adding that they believed they now had only two choices: “real freedom or martyrdom.”

He called on party workers to remain steadfast and said the September 27 movement would mark a major phase in their political struggle.
