Imposed Government’s Incompetence and Corruption Have Deprived People of Basic Facilities: Abdul Qahar Wadan

QUETTA: Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Balochistan President Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan has accused the government of incompetence, corruption and neglect, saying people have been deprived of basic facilities and are suffering from severe mental distress.
The remarks were made during a gathering held in connection with the joining of around 50 people to PkMAP at the Pashtun Bagh-I regional unit in Quetta. The event was organised under the supervision of party provincial senior vice president and Quetta district secretary Syed Sharaf Agha.
The gathering was addressed by Abdul Qahar Wadan, Vice President Majeed Khan Achakzai, Central Committee member Sardar Bahadur Khan Musa Khel and Tehsil President Secretary Naeem Khan Pir Alizai. Regional Secretary Salahuddin Achakzai performed the duties of stage secretary.
Welcoming the new members, the speakers said PkMAP was the voice of the people of Pashtunkhwa and that the party’s struggle and sacrifices for basic rights and the national identity of the Pashtun people were well known.
They said the difficult circumstances faced by people in southern Pashtunkhwa, particularly Quetta, were no secret.
According to the speakers, insecurity, fear, unemployment, inflation, poverty and a lack of protection had made life increasingly difficult for ordinary citizens. They said families were worried about their children’s future, employment opportunities were shrinking, businesses were being affected and young people were becoming increasingly frustrated.
The speakers accused what they described as the “imposed Form-47 government” of neglect, incompetence, corruption and commissions, alleging that public-service institutions had been weakened as a result.
They claimed that people were being deprived of peace, education, healthcare, employment, clean drinking water, electricity, gas, roads and other basic facilities, resulting in widespread frustration.
The party leaders stressed that the Pashtun people were not seeking charity but demanding their constitutional and human rights.
They said residents of Quetta and other parts of the province still lacked access to clean drinking water, quality healthcare, better educational institutions and employment opportunities, holding the government responsible for the situation.
The speakers reiterated that PkMAP would continue its political struggle for the rights and welfare of the Pashtun people.
