Tribal Leader Sardar Shah Zaman Alizai, Son Reportedly Abducted in Mastung

MASTUNG: Tribal leader Sardar Shah Zaman Alizai, head of the Alizai tribe, and his son were reportedly abducted by armed men who blocked the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Sorgaz area of Mastung.

According to sources, Sardar Shah Zaman Alizai was travelling from Mastung towards Quetta at around 4pm on Wednesday when armed men had set up a blockade on the national highway near Sorgaz.

The armed men allegedly took Sardar Shah Zaman Alizai, his son and their Vigo vehicle with them.

Family sources said that the mobile phones of Sardar Shah Zaman Alizai and his son had remained switched off since the incident and that the family had been unable to establish contact with them.

No further details regarding the incident have emerged so far, while the relevant authorities have yet to issue an official statement.
