Attack on Journalist Nasir Ahmed Condemned; Nawabzada Shaheer Lodhi and Nawabzada Shahzaib Lodhi Demand Immediate Arrest of Those Involved

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — Political and tribal leaders Nawabzada Shaheer Lodhi and Nawabzada Shahzaib Lodhi have strongly condemned the attack on senior journalist Nasir Ahmed and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.

In a joint statement, they said the attack on journalist Nasir Ahmed was an extremely regrettable and condemnable incident, which has caused concern among the journalistic community. They said journalists play an important role in highlighting public issues and bringing facts to light in society, therefore, providing protection to journalists while they perform their professional duties is the responsibility of the state and relevant institutions.

Nawabzada Shaheer Lodhi and Nawabzada Shahzaib Lodhi said that intimidating or committing violence against journalists is unacceptable under any circumstances. They demanded that all individuals involved in the incident be arrested immediately and punished in accordance with the law.

They also expressed solidarity with senior journalist Nasir Ahmed and extended their best wishes to him.
