Terrorists Blow Up 220kV Transmission Tower Near Sibi, Power Supply Disruption Feared

Dera Murad Jamali: Unidentified terrorists reportedly blew up a 220kV high-transmission electricity tower near Sibi using explosives, raising fears of disruption to power supplies in Sibi and several other parts of Balochistan.

According to police, the tower is part of the high-transmission system carrying electricity from the Uch Power Plant in Nasirabad and Dera Murad Jamali towards Sibi. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sibi Sadar Police Station.

Police said the attackers used explosives to damage and destroy the 220kV transmission tower. The incident could affect electricity supplies to Sibi and other areas of Balochistan.

Following the blast, police and security forces reached the site, cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the attackers.
