Pakistan Pavilion Gains Global Attention at Osaka Expo 2025: Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Highlights Pink Salt Exports

Lasbela / Osaka:Federal Minister for Commerce **Jam Kamal Khan** held a significant press conference at the **Osaka Expo 2025**, where more than **43 national and international media outlets** were in attendance. The Pakistan Pavilion, themed **”Universe in a Grain of Salt,”** has emerged as a key attraction at the event.

Speaking at the press conference, Jam Kamal emphasized that **pink Himalayan salt** is a **valuable natural asset of Pakistan**, renowned for its use in **food, wellness, and industrial applications**. He revealed that **Pakistan’s pink salt exports to Japan have reached \$3 million**, reflecting growing international demand.

The minister also highlighted the **global popularity** of Pakistan’s **textiles, leather, surgical instruments, and sports goods**, noting that **Pakistan’s youth are shaping a bright future in IT and technology** on the world stage.

During his visit, the minister toured the pavilions of **Japan, UK, USA, China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia**, and extended invitations to Expo participants to attend **Pakistan’s National Day celebrations on August 14**.

The Pakistan Pavilion, located in the **”Commons-D” zone**, has been described as one of the most visited and admired at the Expo. It blends themes of **sustainability, culture, and natural resources**, showcasing the country’s heritage and innovation.

Minister Jam Kamal reiterated that **expanding the global market and value addition for pink salt** is a **key priority for the Government of Pakistan**.
