Foreign Women Record Statements Before Magistrate in Lahore Defence Kidnapping and Rape Case

Lahore: Legal proceedings have advanced in the case involving the alleged kidnapping, ransom demand, and sexual assault of two foreign women in Lahore’s Defence area, with both complainants recording their statements before a judicial magistrate.
According to media reports, Lahore Police produced the two women before a judicial magistrate at the Cantonment Courts under tight security, where they recorded detailed statements under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Court records identified the complainants as Stephanie Adana Mao and Astrid Robinson.
In their statements, the women alleged that they had travelled to Pakistan for tourism and to meet friends but were instead kidnapped and unlawfully confined. They further alleged that the suspects demanded a large ransom from their families abroad and subjected them to sexual assault during their captivity.
Police said the First Information Report (FIR) includes serious charges relating to kidnapping for ransom and rape.
The prime suspect, identified as Reza Dar, has been accused of luring the women to Pakistan through deception and allegedly masterminding the crime.
Senior Lahore Police officials said the investigation is progressing in accordance with the law and confirmed that the nominated suspects have been arrested. They added that further legal proceedings are underway.
