Pakistan Allocates Rs7.44 Billion for Supreme Court in Federal Budget 2026-27

Islamabad: The federal government has allocated Rs7.44 billion for the expenses of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Federal Budget 2026-27.

According to budget documents, the allocated funds will be used for salaries, allowances, and other administrative expenditures of the country’s top court.

The documents show that under the revised estimates for the previous fiscal year, the Supreme Court’s expenditures stood at Rs6.48 billion. The new allocation of Rs7.44 billion represents an increase of approximately Rs956.3 million compared to last year.

A breakdown of the budget reveals that Rs4.438 billion has been earmarked for the salaries of officers and employees, while Rs1.384 billion has been allocated for operating expenses.

In addition, Rs260 million has been set aside for retirement benefits, and Rs27 million for grants and subsidies. The budget also includes Rs720 million for assets, Rs230 million for civil works, and Rs365.9 million for repairs and maintenance.

The increased allocation reflects the government’s plan to support the operational and administrative needs of the Supreme Court during the upcoming fiscal year.
