Trump Urges Saudi Arabia and Other Countries, Including Pakistan, to Join Abraham Accords with Israel

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has called for several Muslim-majority countries, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Qatar, to join the Abraham Accords and normalize relations with Israel, describing it as a major diplomatic shift in the Middle East.

According to international media, Trump made the remarks in a lengthy post on his social media platform Truth Social, where he discussed a potential agreement with Iran and its broader implications for regional diplomacy.

He stated that he recently spoke with the leadership of several countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, and Egypt, emphasizing that normalization with Israel should follow any peace deal involving Iran.

Trump specifically urged Saudi Arabia and Qatar to begin the process of signing Abraham Accords with Israel immediately, while encouraging other nations to follow suit.

He further warned that countries unwilling to join the accords should not expect to be part of any broader agreement involving Iran, suggesting that such reluctance would reflect “bad intentions.”

The former president also said that if Iran reaches an agreement with the United States, it could eventually be “an honor” for Iran to join the Abraham Accords as well.

Trump argued that such developments could transform the Middle East into one of the most united, powerful, and economically strong regions in the world.

He added that the United States has worked extensively to resolve complex diplomatic challenges in the region, and said normalization with Israel should be the natural next step.

Highlighting the benefits of the accords, Trump noted that countries already part of the Abraham Accords, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, and Kazakhstan, have seen new opportunities for economic and social development.

He also praised the fact that despite ongoing tensions in the region, no member country has withdrawn from or suspended participation in the agreements.

It is worth noting that the Abraham Accords were first signed in 2020 during Trump’s previous term in office, leading to the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab states, including the UAE and Bahrain.
