US, Iran Expected to Announce Peace Deal to End Multi-Front Conflict

Washington: A peace agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran across multiple fronts is expected to be finalized by Sunday afternoon, according to media reports.

American newspaper *The Washington Times*, citing informed sources, reported that negotiators reached an agreement on the draft deal on Saturday morning and an official announcement could be made within 24 hours.

According to the report, the negotiations involved Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, US Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The draft agreement has reportedly been approved by the negotiators and sent to the leadership of both countries for final endorsement.

If successfully implemented, the agreement could transform the six-week-long ceasefire into a permanent peace arrangement. However, President Trump has previously indicated that the possibility of future military action cannot be completely ruled out.

The details of the proposed agreement remain unclear. Key issues, including the future of Iran’s nuclear program and Tehran’s demands for sanctions relief, are yet to be fully resolved.

Both sides are also expected to negotiate the mechanism for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route.
