Ali Khurshidi Criticizes Sindh Government, Claims Bilawal Bhutto Was Misbriefed on Water Issue

Karachi: Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Ali Khurshidi launched strong criticism against the provincial government during a press conference at the Sindh Assembly, alleging widespread governance failures, corruption, and mismanagement in the province.
He stated that despite Sindh being one of Pakistan’s most important provinces, it has remained under the rule of the same political party for the last 18 years, while governance problems have continued to worsen.
Ali Khurshidi alleged serious irregularities in the Sindh Public Service Commission, claiming that posts were allegedly being sold for millions of rupees and examination papers were leaked. He sarcastically remarked that the commission’s name should be changed due to the scale of alleged corruption.
He also accused the provincial administration of corruption in solar projects and mismanagement in wheat storage, claiming that billions worth of wheat had been lost while officials failed to take responsibility.
Speaking about Karachi’s water crisis, Khurshidi said the city has been suffering for years and alleged that even Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had been given incorrect briefings regarding the water issue.
He criticized delays in infrastructure projects, including the Kashmore-Kandhkot bridge, and described the provincial administrative system as dysfunctional.
Ali Khurshidi further claimed that no work is completed without bribery and called for a forensic audit of examinations conducted by the Sindh Public Service Commission.
Commenting on the high-profile “Pinky” drug case, he said the matter must be investigated thoroughly because influential individuals are allegedly involved. He added that drug trafficking on such a scale could not take place without police support and urged authorities to take the issue seriously.
He also criticized the overall law and order situation in Karachi, saying conditions in the city remain unchanged despite official claims of improvement.
