PML-N Wins NA-18 Haripur By-Election with Clear Lead

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured victory in the NA-18 Haripur by-election, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results from all 602 polling stations.

PML-N candidate **Babar Nawaz Khan** won the seat with **163,996 votes**, while the PTI-backed independent candidate **Shehrnaz Omar Ayub** secured **120,220 votes**, placing second. Shehrnaz is the wife of former Leader of the Opposition **Omar Ayub Khan**.

A total of **nine candidates** contested the by-election, including PTI-backed Shehrnaz, PML-N’s Babar Nawaz, and PPP’s Erum Fatima, along with six other independent candidates.

NA-18 Haripur has **753,944 registered voters**, and **602 polling stations** were established for the by-poll.

The seat became vacant after PTI’s **Omar Ayub** was disqualified and sentenced in connection with the May 9 unrest case.
