Explosion Near ANP Leader’s Residence in Swat, No Casualties Reported

Swat: An explosion occurred near the residence of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mumtaz Ali in the Matta Shakardara area of Swat, officials confirmed.

According to District Police Officer Mohammad Umar, the blast created a crater on the road but did not result in any loss of life. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Police sources noted that Mumtaz Ali had previously survived a remote-controlled blast in which his vehicle was destroyed.

Senior ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain condemned the explosion outside Mumtaz Ali’s residence, calling it a cowardly and regrettable act. He stated that such tactics cannot intimidate party leadership or workers.

Security agencies are probing the nature and motive behind the explosion, while measures have been heightened in the area.
