Monthly Cash Assistance of Rs 12,120 Announced for 17,788 Families

Islamabad: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a major financial assistance package for affected families in North Waziristan and Khost.
According to official sources, each affected family will receive a monthly cash assistance of Rs 12,120 along with food ration worth Rs 8,000 per month. The initiative aims to support families facing difficult living conditions in the affected regions.
The official correspondence states that a total of 17,788 families will benefit from this relief package. Payments for the outstanding months of July and August 2025 are also being released, amounting to millions of rupees.
Authorities confirmed that the total allocated fund for the program exceeds Rs 7.186 billion. To ensure transparency and direct disbursement, the financial assistance will be transferred through mobile SIM-based systems.
The PDMA has directed relevant departments to complete the distribution process immediately. Any undisbursed funds and service charges must be returned within 60 days.
Officials further instructed that complete records and audit reports be submitted to ensure financial transparency and accountability. The initiative, according to authorities, aims to reduce the economic hardships of affected families and ensure timely provision of basic necessities.
