Poverty, Crime and Misgovernance Worsening in Pishin: Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party

Pishin: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party has expressed serious concern over the worsening law and order situation in Pishin, saying that theft, robbery, and armed attacks have become a routine matter while the administration is allegedly failing to take effective action against criminals.
A key meeting of the party’s district committee was held under the chairmanship of District President Umar Khan Tareen. Senior Vice President of the party Syed Sharaf Agha, Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan, and other provincial and district leaders also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the political situation in the district, organizational matters, and public issues in detail.
Party leaders said that due to alleged incompetence and corruption of the representatives imposed on Pishin, the public is facing severe difficulties, while government institutions have been deliberately weakened. They claimed this situation is being maintained to present a false narrative that “everything is fine” instead of addressing real public concerns.
Expressing deep concern over the deteriorating security situation, the leaders said that theft, robbery, and armed attacks have become common in Pishin and surrounding areas. They alleged that instead of taking action against criminals, the administration is shutting down Levies stations and posts, which is further encouraging lawlessness.
The meeting also highlighted issues related to electricity, stating that unannounced load-shedding and low voltage at the start of summer have made life difficult for residents.
Regarding the education sector, party leaders said that contrary to official claims, textbooks are not available in government schools, and merit is being ignored in transfer and posting decisions.
The party urged its office-bearers to strengthen organizational structures and intensify efforts for the resolution of public issues in the region.
