Pakistan Shot Down 8 Indian Aircraft in Operation Haq, Claims Air Force Official

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Air Force Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Projects) Air Vice Marshal Tariq Ghazi has claimed that Pakistan shot down eight Indian aircraft during “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” stating that Pakistan now stands at “8–0” in aerial engagements.
Addressing a press conference alongside DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on the completion of one year of “Operation Haq,” Air Vice Marshal Ghazi said the downed Indian aircraft included four Rafale jets, as well as Su-30, MiG-29, and Mirage 2000 fighter jets.
He further claimed that an expensive multi-role unmanned aerial system was also destroyed during the operation.
“We shot down eight Indian aircraft in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos and now we are at 8–0,” he said.
On the occasion, DG ISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that Pakistan defeated a much larger adversary in multi-domain warfare and that even Indian children were aware of the outcome, though he alleged that the Indian side does not accept it.
He reiterated that Pakistan has consistently responded to what he described as false Indian narratives regarding terrorism, claiming instead that India itself is involved in such activities, including alleged actions in Kashmir and Manipur.
The DG ISPR also referred to the Pahalgam incident, saying that a year has passed but questions raised by Pakistan remain unanswered. He asked India to clarify who was responsible for the incident and which alleged terrorist camps were targeted.
He further criticized India’s investigation process, claiming that FIRs were registered within minutes while intelligence agencies allegedly failed to prevent infiltration incidents, which he described as inconsistent.
Both officials emphasized that Pakistan remains fully prepared for future conflicts and continues to enhance its defence capabilities in line with modern warfare requirements.
